About the Role
We're looking for an AI Application Engineer to build the AI layer of our product, AI Lister. The core platform is already built on the MERN stack. Your job is to design and build the intelligence behind it:

• Competitor analysis engine. It identifies which marketplace listings are true competitors, compares them, and recommends a competitive price.
• Automated listing generation. It creates complete, optimized product listings automatically.

This role offers real ownership. You'll build the core AI system of a live product from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Build LLM-powered features and integrate them with our MERN platform through APIs
• Develop a competitor-matching system using LLMs, embeddings, and similarity search
• Create pricing recommendation logic based on competitor data
• Build an automated generator for titles, descriptions, and item specifics
• Fine-tune models (OpenAI, Llama, Mistral, etc.) and prepare training datasets
• Engineer prompts and use structured JSON outputs for reliable results
• Evaluate accuracy, reduce hallucinations, and optimize cost and latency

Requirements

• 1–2 years of industry experience building LLM-based applications
• Strong Python skills (Node.js/JavaScript is a plus)
• Experience with the OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar LLM APIs
• Hands-on exposure to fine-tuning (LoRA/QLoRA, OpenAI fine-tuning, or Hugging Face)
• Understanding of embeddings, vector databases, and RAG
• Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks
• Comfort building and consuming REST APIs

Nice to Have

• Experience with eBay, Amazon, or Shopify listing data
• Web scraping and data pipeline experience
• MongoDB / MERN stack knowledge
• Model deployment experience (Docker, cloud GPUs)
