Role: Senior AI-Assisted Full Stack Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL 60606

Work Model: Hybrid 2 Days Onsite / Week

Onsite: Tuesday & Wednesday

Employment: W2 Contract Only

Experience: 15+ Years

Education: Bachelor's Degree Required

Schedule: Monday Friday, 8 AM 5 PM CST

AI Expertise

• Proven enterprise experience using Claude / Claude Code or similar AI development tools
• Use AI as a development accelerator while maintaining strong engineering judgment
• Review, modify, test and validate AI-generated code
• Experience taking AI-assisted solutions through production readiness
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, iterative refinement and AI-assisted refactoring

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, refactor, test and harden Java and/or React components.
• Leverage Claude and Cursor to accelerate development while maintaining code quality.
• Ensure AI-generated code meets security, performance and maintainability standards.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects and Engineering teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews and production support.
• Guide teams on validating and making AI-generated artifacts production-ready.
• Follow CNA engineering, security, architecture and operational standards.
• Share best practices for AI-assisted development and quality assurance.

• Secure coding and data protection
• Clean and maintainable code
• Error handling, logging and resilience
• Performance optimization
• Unit/component testing
• CI/CD and deployment standards
• Operational monitoring

Senior, hands-on engineer with proven enterprise production experience who can independently leverage Claude Code, Cursor and AI-assisted development to deliver high-quality Java/React solutions.
