AI Automation & Internal Tools Engineer

About the role

Columbia Pictures Aquaverse is looking for an AI Automation & Internal Tools Engineer to build systems that automate repetitive computer-based work across the company. The role focuses on internal software, AI workflows, dashboards, business automation, data integrations, AI agents, reporting, landing pages, customer-support systems, and other tools that improve how employees work. This is a highly practical engineering role for someone who can take a high-level concept and turn it into a functional internal product.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and automate digital workflows involving marketing, sales, reporting, customer support, social media, advertising, website management, e-commerce, data entry, approvals, and internal administration.
• Build systems that reduce repetitive manual computer work while keeping human approval where business judgment is required.
• Build internal applications such as executive dashboards, LinkedIn content platforms, reporting systems, AI customer-support dashboards, campaign-management tools, approval systems, landing-page generators, AI knowledge assistants, marketing tools, content-management interfaces, and analytics tools.
• Connect large language models and other AI models to real business systems.
• Build AI workflows using structured outputs and tool calling.
• Build RAG and company knowledge systems.
• Connect AI to APIs and databases.
• Build and maintain workflows using n8n, APIs, webhooks, databases, scheduled jobs, event-driven workflows, custom Python or JavaScript, cloud services, and browser/computer automation where appropriate.
• Connect multiple business data sources, standardize and store data, build automated reports, develop internal dashboards, and add AI-generated explanations and recommendations.
• Ensure all systems include appropriate logging, error handling, monitoring, data validation, permissions, human approval, manual override, testing, documentation, and security controls.

• Strong experience with Python.
• Strong experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Strong experience with n8n or similar automation platforms.
• Strong experience with APIs.
• Strong experience with webhooks.
• Strong experience with SQL.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL/Supabase.
• Front-end development experience.
• Back-end development experience.
• Experience with AI model APIs.
• Experience with LLM integration.
