AI / Backend / Software Engineer Intern

About the role

We are looking for motivated AI, Backend, or Software Engineer Interns who are interested in building real-world software and AI solutions. You will work alongside our development team on backend services, APIs, AI/LLM applications, automation, and system integration.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining backend applications and microservices
• Develop and integrate REST APIs
• Work with Python-based applications and services
• Assist with AI/LLM integration, including AI agents, document processing, OCR, and automation workflows
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Debug and troubleshoot application issues
• Work with databases and structured/unstructured data
• Use Git for source-code management and team collaboration
• Assist with testing, documentation, deployment, and maintenance of applications
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

About you

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or another related field
• Basic programming knowledge in Python or another backend programming language
• Basic understanding of REST APIs, Databases, Git/version control, and Object-oriented programming and software-development fundamentals
• Able to understand existing code and troubleshoot problems
• Comfortable learning new technologies independently
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to communicate and work effectively within a development team
• Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask is an advantage
• Experience with Docker, GitLab / CI/CD, SQL or NoSQL databases, Linux, LLMs and Generative AI, AI agents, OpenAI or other LLM APIs, OCR / document processing, Machine learning, API integration, Microservices, Message queues such as Kafka, Cloud or server deployment, or Automated testing using pytest or similar tools is an advantage
