Senior AI Consultant/Champ

Full time: Monday to Friday 09 am to 6 pm, with alternate Saturdays from 09 am to 02 pm

About the role
Gulf Desk Services is establishing an AI consulting practice serving businesses across the UAE and the wider GCC, delivered from our Lahore office. Most of these organisations are at the earliest stage of AI adoption. Their processes are largely undocumented and their teams have limited exposure to AI in daily work. The value we provide is therefore advisory and educational before it is technical: assessing where AI genuinely improves how a business operates, and building the understanding and confidence inside the client's team to use it.

This is a hands-on role. You will personally run the client sessions, prepare the material, and sit with client teams. It is the founding position in the practice, and you will shape how it works as it grows.

Responsibilities

Coaching and enablement

Lead the client-facing education that drives adoption. Design and deliver training sessions and presentations for teams across finance, operations, sales, and administration. Work with client staff at every level of technical comfort until they are able to apply AI confidently in their own work. Adoption after handover is the measure of success.

Client advisory

Conduct discovery with business owners and department heads to understand how their operations run and identify where AI delivers measurable improvement. Produce clear assessments and recommendations, including where AI is not the right answer.

Solution demonstration

Build proof-of-concept solutions where a working demonstration is the most effective way to establish credibility and secure client commitment.

Delivery oversight

Scope automation and technical work, brief and direct the engineers who build it, and remain accountable for the solution the client receives.

How the role grows

The initial focus is coaching and advisory, working directly with clients and their teams. As the client base grows beyond individual capacity, the role expands toward scoping engagements, directing delivery, and helping build the team, including participating in hiring.

AI & Automation Solution Design

• Design AI-powered workflows, intelligent agents, RAG systems, document processing pipelines, and automation architectures
• Architect solutions using:
• OpenAI / Anthropic APIs
• n8n, Make, Zapier
• Vector databases
• CRM, ERP, HRMS, and telephony integrations
• Define implementation scope, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria

Requirements

● Demonstrable experience building solutions with AI, supported by work you can walk us through

● Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in AI, intelligent automation, or workflow automation

● Strong understanding of business operations and process, with the ability to assess a company's workflows and identify where technology adds value

● Experience integrating APIs, webhooks, and enterprise systems

● Familiarity with CRM, ERP, HRMS, or telephony/contact-center platforms

● Experience with RAG systems and vector databases

● Fluent, professional business English, written and spoken, with the ability to present to and lead a room of non-technical stakeholders

● Proven capability in training, coaching, or client education

● Experience owning work end to end with minimal supervision, from problem definition through to delivery

● Based in Lahore, or able to relocate, with working hours that overlap the GCC business day

Preferred

● Experience training client teams, mentoring colleagues, or leading work across people who did not report to you

● Exposure to ERP or business systems implementation

● Prior client-facing consulting experience, particularly with SME clients
