AI Data Architect

Lincolnshire, IL (Onsite Hybrid - 3 days/week) Contract Job Description

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture and data engineering within enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms, including Snowflake and/or Google BigQuery.
• Design and implement scalable, high-performance enterprise data architectures and data platforms.
• Experience architecting and implementing enterprise data lakes and lakehouse solutions.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Experience designing AI and Generative AI architectures for enterprise use cases.
• Hands-on understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and implementation patterns.
• Experience with vector databases, vector search, embeddings, and semantic retrieval technologies.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis, transformation, modeling, and complex data processing.
• Strong Python development skills for data engineering, automation, and AI/GenAI solutions.
• Ability to integrate data engineering, AI/GenAI, governance, and enterprise architecture into scalable solutions.
• Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to senior business and technology stakeholders.
