Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced AI Data Scientist with 4 - 8 years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics.

The ideal candidate should have strong Python programming and machine learning expertise, with proven experience taking data science projects from problem definition and data exploration through model development, validation, and deployment. Experience with Generative AI/LLMs will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into data science and AI solutions.
• Perform data extraction, cleaning, preprocessing, exploratory data analysis, and feature engineering.
• Develop, train, validate, and optimize machine learning models for classification, regression, forecasting, clustering, recommendation, and other use cases.
• Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
• Develop scalable data science solutions using Python and relevant ML libraries.
• Evaluate models using appropriate performance metrics and implement techniques to improve accuracy, robustness, and scalability.
• Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in the complete machine learning lifecycle, including experimentation, model development, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Stay current with emerging developments in AI, machine learning, Generative AI, and data science.
• Clearly communicate technical findings, model performance, and business impact to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills

• 4 - 8 years of professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a closely related field.

• Strong hands-on experience with Python.

• Proficiency in NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.

• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, including:

• Regression

• Classification

• Clustering

• Ensemble methods

• Time-series forecasting

• Dimensionality reduction

• Strong knowledge of statistics, probability, hypothesis testing, and model evaluation.

• Experience with feature engineering, model selection, hyperparameter tuning, and cross-validation.

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.

• Experience working with large and complex datasets.

• Strong understanding of the end-to-end Data Science/ML lifecycle.

• Experience with Git/version control and software development best practices.

AI / Generative AI Skills Preferred

• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, NLP, or deep learning.
• Knowledge of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation.
• Experience with frameworks/tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs, or equivalent technologies.
• Exposure to fine-tuning or adapting LLMs for business use cases
