£800–£1000per day (Inside IR35)

La Fosse are partnering with a global construction business looking for a senior AI Enablement Framework Lead to help scale AI across IT and the wider organisation.

They need someone who can turn AI ambition into practical delivery: building a framework that enables the business to move quickly, manage risk and scale AI responsibly.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of designing, piloting and embedding an end-to-end AI Enablement Framework, covering the full lifecycle of an AI initiative, from initial intake and approval through to delivery, production, ongoing support and retirement.

The scope spans everything from enterprise-wide Copilot adoption and agentic AI to AI capabilities embedded within major IT programmes.

This isn’t about writing policies that sit on a shelf. It’s about creating a framework that works in the real world, testing it against live initiatives and leaving the business with a sustainable model it can own.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading discovery and workshops with senior stakeholders across IT, data, business functions and live construction project teams.
• Designing a proportionate, pragmatic framework that integrates with existing governance rather than creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
• Establishing clear decision rights, approval pathways and accountabilities across architecture, security, privacy, legal, risk and delivery.
• Piloting the framework against live AI initiatives, gathering feedback and refining the approach
• Defining the ongoing roles, responsibilities and governance needed to support AI at scale, then handing over to internal owners.

Your Profile

• Proven experience designing and embedding an AI or technology governance framework in a large, complex organisation. This is the critical requirement.
• Strong knowledge of responsible AI, AI risk and governance frameworks, such as the EU AI Act, ISO 42001 and NIST AI RMF.
• Experience spanning multiple AI use cases, including GenAI tools, embedded AI and agentic AI.
• Credibility and confidence facilitating workshops and driving decisions with C-suite and senior stakeholders.
• A practical, delivery-focused mindset, with a track record of creating frameworks that are adopted, operationalised and successfully handed over.
• A consultancy background is welcome, but you must have personally led and delivered this type of work, rather than simply advised on it.
