📍 Location: San Jose, CA

💰 Pay: $60–$65/hr W2

📅 Duration: 3–6 Month Contract

Red Oak Technologies is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to support our client's Cloud Software Engineering team in the South Bay Area.

This is an exciting opportunity to build and optimize Generative AI applications, LLM-powered solutions, Agentic AI workflows, and cloud-native platforms that improve developer productivity, intelligent search, and enterprise knowledge discovery.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop AI solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG, and Agentic AI architectures .
• Build intelligent AI agents integrating enterprise data, APIs, tools, and multi-step workflows.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines, vector search, embeddings, and retrieval systems.
• Implement AI evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy, performance, and effectiveness.
• Build scalable cloud-native services and APIs.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver production-ready AI solutions.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of software engineering, machine learning, AI, or related experience.
• Strong programming experience with Python and TypeScript .
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, or information retrieval systems .
• Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search .
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud .
• Understanding of REST APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native development.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Nice to Have

• Agentic AI frameworks and LLM orchestration tools.
• Azure OpenAI or Azure AI Search.
• Docker, Kubernetes, and MLOps.
• Knowledge graphs, AI evaluation frameworks, or production AI deployments.
