AI Engineer

What You Will Do

• Design, implement, and test innovative AI algorithms and models, and establish through rigorous experiment whether they actually outperform the alternatives
• Contribute to R&D projects and deliver 100% of defined project milestones
• Publish at least one Q1/Q2 journal paper each year as lead or co-author
• Develop at least one proof-of-concept (POC) prototype each year, with the benchmarks and evaluation needed for a delivery team to take it forward
• Initiate at least one new collaboration with universities or industry partners each year
• Deliver at least one public talk each year at conferences, schools, or seminars
• Maintain thorough and reproducible documentation of research activities, datasets, and results

What You Will Bring

• Strong programming skills and hands-on experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
• A demonstrable track record of publications in high-impact journals
• Sound experimental methodology: baselines, ablations, benchmarking, and honest reporting of what did not work
• Ability to read, evaluate, and build on current literature, and to judge which recent results are worth pursuing
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presenting to non-specialist audiences
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related field.

Nice to Have

Contributions to open-source AI projects or released research code; experience curating or publicly releasing a research dataset; grant writing or competitive research funding experience; peer review for journals or conferences; experience supervising interns or student researchers.
