About Aeven Aeven is a leading provider of adaptive digital infrastructure and managed IT services, carrying forward more than 30 years of experience supporting industries where IT simply cannot fail—from life sciences and healthcare to finance, energy, and the public sector. Born out of NNIT and expanded through strategic acquisitions, Aeven combines the reliability of local infrastructure with the flexibility of modern hybrid cloud/open cloud environments. We bridge the gap between stability and adaptability, delivering digital solutions that give our customers a competitive edge while ensuring strict regional compliance and cybersecurity standards.
Role Overview As an AI Engineer at Aeven, you will play a critical role in shaping the intelligent infrastructure of tomorrow. You will work within our Data, AI & Automation practice to design, build, and deploy production-grade Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions. This role bridges advanced AI software engineering with secure enterprise data systems. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, cloud architects, and enterprise clients to connect data platforms to advanced LLM apps and optimize end-to-end analytics pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- AI/ML System Architecture & Development: Design, implement, and maintain scalable AI and its pipelines, Large Language Model (LLM) applications, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks.
- Data Platform Integration: Bridge enterprise data warehouses and lakehouses - specifically Databricks, Snowflake, and Google BigQuery - with AI to feed unstructured and structured data efficiently into downstream models.
- MLOps & Cloud Infrastructure: Build and optimize end-to-end MLOps pipelines for model training, deployment, versioning, monitoring, and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) utilizing Azure/AWS, hybrid cloud setups, and native cloud data tools.
- Compliance & Security Engineering: Ensure all AI systems and data architectures are engineered to meet strict compliance guidelines required by regulated sectors such as life sciences (GxP), finance, and public institutions.
- Collaboration & Advisory: Partner with data practitioners, consultants, and technical advisors to evaluate client requirements, recommend technology stacks, and advocate for sustainable AI practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Python and experience with core ML/AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn) and LLM orchestration tools (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex).
- Data Architecture & Warehousing: Practical, hands-on experience working with modern enterprise data environments, specifically Databricks (Delta Lake, MLflow), Snowflake (Cortex AI, Snowpark), and Google BigQuery.
- Cloud & MLOps Infrastructure: Deep familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure ML / AWS SageMaker) and containerization frameworks (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Regulated Industries Mindset: Knowledge of data governance, security standards, and operating models within highly regulated frameworks is considered a major asset.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills in English, an innovative problem-solving mindset, and a proactive collaborative approach aligned with a Scandinavian management style.
What We Offer At Aeven, we offer an international and diverse workplace with a Scandinavian management style
characterized by flat hierarchies, trust, and openness. You will enjoy a professional environment with state-of-the-art office spaces (including our modern hubs in Prague's Port7, Brno, Ostrava), flexibility to maintain an optimal work-life balance, continuous professional certification programs (including specialized cloud data technologies).
