AI Engineer

yasp is building the next generation of AI infrastructure: a system of autonomous agents that take any PyTorch model and make it run fast on any hardware, and that teach themselves to get better with every model and every chip they touch. Gaia and Kronos are the two products at the heart of this. We are looking for an **AI Engineer** to help build and sharpen the engineering behind them.

• Design, build, and optimize the systems behind our Gaia and Kronos products.

• Work hands-on with PyTorch models and get them running fast across a range of hardware targets.

• Profile and debug performance across the stack, from the framework level down to the kernel level.

• Collaborate closely with our AI, compiler, inference, and platform teams to ship robust, production-grade results.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.3+ years of professional software engineering experience (internships and co-ops count).

• Strong programming skills in **Python**.

• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (**PyTorch**, and ideally **TensorRT**, **ONNX**, **CUDA**, or **ROCm**); comfortable reading ML model code and reasoning about model internals.

• Experience with **LLM inference engines** such as **vLLM** or **SGLang**.

• Experience getting software running reliably on real hardware, and debugging across the stack.

• A clear communicator who follows through, asks for context when missing, and is comfortable owning work end-to-end.

• Pragmatic mindset: you would rather ship something reliable than something clever.

### Nice to Have

• Comfort reading and debugging **C/C++**.
• Experience with GPU or AI-accelerator performance work, kernel-level optimization, or compiler/codegen stacks.
• Familiarity with edge inference targets (NVIDIA Jetson / Drive AGX Orin) or server GPUs (A100/H100/H200).
• Exposure to containers and Kubernetes, CI/CD, or infrastructure-as-code.
• Contributions to open-source ML, compiler, or AI infrastructure projects.
• Hot sauce lover.
