AI Engineer

🚀 We're looking for an AI Engineer (Lisbon)

We are looking for an AI Engineer to join an international banking environment, contributing to the design and development of AI-powered solutions. The role focuses on taking AI initiatives from concept to production, working closely with technical and business teams to build scalable, secure and useful applications.

✅ Professional Experience & Main Tasks

• Design, develop and integrate AI and Generative AI solutions into business applications.
• Build and maintain LLM-powered applications , including chatbots and AI assistants.
• Develop RAG pipelines to connect language models with enterprise data.
• Work with frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph to orchestrate AI workflows.
• Build backend services and APIs, primarily using Python .
• Prepare, process and connect data sources for AI applications.
• Evaluate model performance and improve the quality, reliability and relevance of AI-generated results.
• Deploy, monitor and maintain AI solutions in production environments.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data teams, software engineers and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Follow good practices for security, data privacy, testing and responsible AI.

✅ Skills & Experience

• Professional experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer or Generative AI Engineer .
• Strong programming experience in Python .
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs and prompt engineering .
• Experience building RAG solutions and integrating LLMs with APIs and business systems.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain and/or LangGraph .
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts, model evaluation and data preparation.
• Experience deploying applications or AI solutions to production.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, containers and CI/CD is a plus.
• Experience in the banking or financial sector is valued.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an international environment.
