AI Engineer II ( AI Platform)

For our client, we are seeking a AI Engineer II ( AI Platform) to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Implement AI platform components under seniors' guidance
• Develop and maintain APIs for AI integration
• Build observability and monitoring into platform services
• Engage in design discussions focusing on simplicity and scalability
• Collaborate with product teams to translate AI needs into features
• Participate in design sessions and code reviews for AI integrations
• Contribute to documentation and integration standards

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in backend engineering (Python, C#/.NET, Java, or Node.js)
• Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system design principles
• Experience integrating large language models or ML models into applications
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation concepts and vector databases
• Background in building shared services or platform components
• Knowledge of cloud-managed AI services (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI)
• Experience with APIs and event-driven architectures
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
