AI Engineer Intern (LLM)

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

Main challenge

You'll help build and improve the AI features of a storytelling app for children that's live in many languages. Your main focus will be LLM-powered story generation: making stories creative, consistent, age-appropriate and safe, in every supported language. Depending on project needs, you'll also work on computer vision (recognising real-world toys), generative illustration pipelines, and translation and text-to-speech automation.

What it means on a daily basis

• Design, test and improve prompts and LLM workflows for story generation, using structured evaluation (quality, consistency, age-appropriateness, safety)
• Build small evaluation datasets and scripts to measure output quality and catch regressions
• Help maintain the image recognition pipeline: collect, clean and annotate data, run training or fine-tuning experiments, and analyse edge cases (lighting, occlusion, motion blur)
• Support generative illustration workflows (e.g. ComfyUI): automate pipelines and improve visual consistency across characters and scenes
• Write Python tools to automate translation and text-to-speech for many languages, including validation and quality checks

Who you would be working with

• AI engineers, Unity developers, QA and content/localization teams
• Cross-functional and international teams, depending on project needs

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Solid Python skills (scripting, data handling, calling APIs)
• Hands-on experience with LLMs: calling LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or basic RAG/agent projects
• Basic understanding of computer vision tasks (classification, detection) and machine learning fundamentals
• At least one real project (personal, academic or internship) with code or a demo you can show
• Good written and spoken English (for writing prompts and documentation and working with international teams)

• A versatile builder who's comfortable switching between LLM, vision and automation tasks
• Curious and fast to learn, keeping up with new AI models and tools
• Detail-oriented, especially about output quality and content safety for children
• Organized in documenting experiments and results
• Proactive in spotting problems and suggesting improvements
• Comfortable working both independently and in a team
