Hiring Brief: Full-Stack AI Engineer

AI Engineer

Location: New Jersey

Role objective

We are looking for a hands-on AI Engineer who can own the end-to-end development of AI-powered applications—from understanding business requirements and ideating solutions to architecture, implementation, UI integration, and production deployment.

The candidate should combine strong AI application engineering skills with backend development using Python/FastAPI and frontend development using React. We need an engineer who can independently turn business problems into working, production-ready AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements & Solution Design: Work with stakeholders to understand business problems, identify opportunities for AI, and propose suitable technical solutions.
• AI Application Engineering: Design and build AI applications using LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, AI agents, and relevant AI frameworks.
• Backend Development: Build scalable APIs and backend services using Python and FastAPI, integrating AI capabilities with enterprise data sources and services.
• Frontend Development: Develop and enhance React-based user interfaces and integrate them with backend APIs.
• End-to-End Delivery: Own the application lifecycle, including solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Production Readiness: Implement error handling, logging, security, performance optimization, and deployment practices required for production applications.
• Technical Problem-Solving: Evaluate AI technologies and frameworks and select appropriate approaches based on business requirements.

Must-Have Skills

• Hands-on experience designing and building AI-powered applications.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI.
• Working proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and frontend-to-backend integration.
• Practical experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and integrating AI models into applications.
• Experience with RAG, vector databases, embeddings, or AI agent frameworks.
• Experience integrating applications with databases, enterprise systems, and external APIs.
• Experience deploying applications to cloud environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with agentic AI workflows and multi-agent orchestration.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, or similar.
• Experience with Azure cloud services, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building enterprise-grade applications with appropriate security, monitoring, and scalability.
