Role: Senior AI Governance Engineer

Location: North-East

This is an exciting opportunity to drive AI governance, security controls, observability and compliance while enabling the development of trusted AI solutions across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI governance controls, guardrails and policy enforcement mechanisms.
• Develop security and safety controls to support secure AI usage and reduce operational risks.
• Establish monitoring, logging and audit capabilities to enhance visibility and traceability of AI systems.
• Drive AI usage accountability through reporting, cost monitoring and governance practices.
• Collaborate with platform and technology teams to embed governance and compliance requirements into AI solutions.

Requirements

• Experience in AI governance, cybersecurity, compliance, platform engineering or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of AI governance, Responsible AI principles and risk management practices.
• Knowledge of security controls, access management, data protection and audit frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to balance governance and innovation.
