WHAT YOUR CHALLENGES WILL BE?

We are seeking a Systems Support Engineer to support the AI server deployment

process. In this role, you will be the primary operational point of contact for triaging and

resolving issues during software and hardware deployment. You will monitor incoming

tickets, diagnose software-related deployment bottlenecks, and collaborate with hardware

and networking teams to ensure smooth deployment workflows.

The ideal candidate possesses a mix of system administration, basic networking, and

hardware troubleshooting knowledge, with a strong background in Linux environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of escalation for deployment-related issues, supporting automated deployment pipelines and installation processes.
• Monitor, investigate, prioritize, and manage tickets generated during hardware and software deployment activities.
• Analyze installer logs, operating system metrics, and orchestration workflows to identify root causes of deployment failures.
• Troubleshoot Linux-based systems, software configurations, and deployment-related issues.
• Diagnose and resolve networking issues, including DNS, DHCP, PXE boot, and related infrastructure services.
• Investigate containerization and orchestration issues in Kubernetes environments.
• Identify hardware, firmware, and physical infrastructure issues and coordinate escalations to hardware engineering and data center teams.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering, DevOps, Networking, and Hardware Operations teams to ensure successful deployments and rapid issue resolution.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance deployment reliability and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience working with Linux operating systems in a system administration, infrastructure, or support capacity.
• 2+ years of experience in computer networking, including troubleshooting network-related issues.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration, troubleshooting, and performance diagnostics.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCPv4/DHCPv6, PXE boot, and network diagnostics.
• Experience troubleshooting Kubernetes environments, containerized workloads, and orchestration-related issues.
• Familiarity with server hardware components, BMCs, BIOS, firmware, NICs, and basic data center infrastructure.
• Experience using ticketing systems and managing incidents in operational environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to distinguish between software, configuration, and hardware-related issues.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, Tier 2 support environment with strict deployment timelines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including working across global teams and shift handovers.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience with PXE, netboot, and automated server deployment processes.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes administration.
• Basic scripting skills in Bash and/or Python.
• Experience with DCIM/IPAM tools such as NetBox.
• Experience supporting large-scale data center, HPC, AI infrastructure, or server deployment environments.
