AI Integration Engineer – Accounting Solutions

We are looking for an experienced AI Integration Engineer – Accounting Solutions to lead the integration of AI capabilities into our accounting software platform.

The role will focus on connecting AI technologies with existing applications, APIs, databases, and business workflows. Key areas include conversational AI, speech-to-speech AI, automation, system integrations, and AI controls and boundaries.

The AI Integration Engineer will work closely with the Solution Architect, Developers, and QA team to turn business requirements into practical and reliable AI-powered features, from development and testing through deployment and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end integration of AI capabilities into the accounting software platform.
• Translate business requirements into practical AI solutions.
• Integrate AI models and services with applications, APIs, databases, and backend systems.
• Build and maintain APIs and other components required for AI integrations.
• Develop and integrate conversational AI, voice AI, and speech-to-speech functionality.
• Create natural and context-aware AI interactions.
• Define and implement appropriate AI boundaries, controls, permissions, and expected behaviors.
• Establish when AI should respond, request clarification, restrict an action, or require human intervention.
• Implement controls to reduce incorrect, unsupported, or unintended AI outputs and actions.
• Ensure AI functionality follows required accounting, security, and business rules.
• Work closely with the Solution Architect and development team on AI implementation.
• Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to developers.
• Troubleshoot AI, API, integration, and application issues.
• Perform technical testing and work with QA to identify and resolve defects.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of AI-powered features.
• Improve AI reliability, performance, response quality, and user experience.
• Develop an understanding of relevant accounting processes and workflows.
• Maintain clear documentation of AI integrations, workflows, controls, and limitations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in AI integration, software development, full-stack/backend development, or a related technical role.
• Strong hands-on software development and integration experience.
• Practical experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into software applications.
• Strong experience with APIs, databases, backend services, and system integrations.
• Experience with conversational AI, voice AI, or speech-to-speech technologies.
• Understanding of AI model/API integration, prompts, context management, and AI workflows.
• Good understanding of AI limitations, guardrails, validation, and human intervention controls.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Ability to work effectively with Developers, Solution Architects, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Able to take ownership of AI integration deliverables.
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
• Experience with SaaS, ERP, accounting, financial, or business software is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting platforms is an advantage.
• Experience with RAG, vector databases, AI agents, cloud AI services, or AI monitoring is an advantage.

Pay: From Php40,000.00 per month
