[Summary]
tripla is a fast-growing travel tech company, building products for hotels across the globe to help them streamline their processes, improve efficiency, deliver high-quality customer service, and drive sales growth. We have engineers, product managers, data scientists, and other team members with diverse backgrounds and skill sets trying to do unique and impactful work in this competitive industry.

Our data team at tripla works on algorithms and agentic solutions for hotel clients. Our biggest revenue driver are recommender systems that let hotel clients show the most relevant room plans to guests on official hotel websites. Our biggest mission this year has been taking an older chatbot product used by thousands of hotel and rebuilding it as an AI agent to accurately answer questions and take actions for guests on behalf of hotel staff.

We are looking for AI and Machine Learning engineers to join our team and continue building: proposing new solutions, training new models as well as optimizing and evaluating existing solutions. We are working with a modern tech stack on GCP with a team that emphasizes strong engineering fundamentals and the freedom and ownership to choose how we build our solutions. We work closely with backend engineering teams, sometimes co-developing production solutions with AI and sometimes building microservices for tripla’s product back-end to use in production. There’s a lot of greenfield opportunity to make impact in this team at tripla.

[Job Description]

• Evaluate AI systems to ensure accurate, reliable results reach the end user and transparent reporting of our AI systems’ capabilities, shortcomings, and known issues
• Train new models and improve existing (both LLM and traditional ML/DL) models and systems, deploying them to production and, along with the team, owning their reliability, uptime, and performance metrics.
• Analyze customer data and model inference results to find patterns and identify ways to deliver more value through our algorithms and solutions. Conduct tests to measure impact of improvements to the algorithms.
• Build data pipelines in Bigquery with dbt to support your own model development.
• Drive conversations with product managers and business stakeholders so that they understand what you’re building and why it matters

求める人物像・資格

[Qualifications]

• More than 2 years of combined experience as a full stack data scientist, machine learning engineer, and/or AI engineer
• Strong fundamentals in statistics and machine learning. Demonstrated experience developing solutions with LLMs (e.g. LangChain, Google ADK).
• Proficient writing production code (Python) and following software engineering best practices to build
• Comfortable and experienced with SQL and data orchestration tools like DBT, Airflow, Prefect
• Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and transformation best practices.
• Fluency in English. Fluency in additional languages (especially Japanese) is a plus.

[Nice to Have]

• Experience working with embeddings models for RAG systems
• Experience building and evaluating agentic systems: tool/function calling, multi-step workflows, guardrails
• Familiarity with LLM evaluation and observability tooling (LangSmith, Langfuse, Braintrust, or an in-house eval harness)
