AceSpeak is an AI-powered interview and public-speaking coach for iOS and Android. It helps users practise interviews and presentations through structured feedback. AceSpeak is a product brand operated by Wistkey.

The role

Join AceSpeak as an AI / ML Engineer and help build dependable AI capabilities, evaluation pipelines and data workflows for a better-structured product. You will work across speech, audio, video and multimodal signals, turning experiments into measurable product improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve AI/ML models and evaluation pipelines

• Analyse clip data and improve automation quality

• Integrate model outputs into the app experience

• Track model and product performance using clear metrics

• Collaborate with product, mobile and backend engineers

• Help establish reliable engineering and experimentation practices

What we are looking for

• 5+ years in AI/ML, ideally with audio, video or multimodal systems

• Strong Python and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow

• Familiarity with signal processing, computer vision or speech analytics

• A pragmatic, product-driven approach

• Good written English and strong collaboration skills

Nice to have

• App-based AI or on-device inference experience

• Coaching, education technology or speech analytics background

• Privacy-sensitive data handling experience

• Experience helping an MVP mature into a structured product

AceSpeak candidate exercise

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a short AceSpeak practice exercise and achieve a total AceSpeak score above 3,000.

1. Download the AceSpeak app.

2. Record a 90-second to 2-minute response to: “Describe a product or project you helped improve and what you learned.”

3. Practise and re-record until your total AceSpeak score is above 3,000.

4. Send us a screenshot showing your score and display name. Please do not send the recording.

We will provide shortlisted applicants with free access for this exercise; you do not need to purchase a subscription. The score is one part of a human-reviewed application process and is not used as the sole hiring criterion. If the app or scoring format is not accessible to you, or you need a reasonable adjustment, email [email protected] and we will arrange an equivalent alternative exercise.

Location and package

Full-time hybrid role based on Hong Kong Island. HK$40,000–HK$60,000 per month, depending on experience.
