Genzeon is seeking a proven, client-facing Director, AI-Native Engineering Presales Solution Architect to lead technical solutioning for strategic pursuits across Application Modernization, Cloud Transformation, and AI-First Software Engineering in Healthcare and Retail. Leveraging Microsoft's Azure, AI Foundry, GitHub Copilot, and Application Innovation ecosystem as strategic platforms, you will architect differentiated solutions, front-end technical discussions in client workshops and executive briefings, and help healthcare payers, providers, health tech and retail organizations modernize legacy applications, accelerate software delivery, and unlock measurable business value through Agentic AI and intelligent automation.

As a trusted advisor to client executives and a strategic collaborator with Microsoft field teams, you will lead discovery workshops, influence deal pursuits, and drive AI-led modernization strategies. You will partner closely with sales and delivery teams to build, and scale the capabilities, develop IP, accelerators, scope and win deals, and ensure the solution designs are deliverable, differentiated, and grounded in real client outcomes.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Director level technical leader who can front-end solution architecture for complex pursuits, create differentiated proposal content and demo assets, lead client workshops with healthcare and retail stakeholders, shape and win app modernization and AI engineering deals across Azure and other hyperscaler platforms, and establish Genzeon's technical credibility in AI-Native Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Deal Pursuit & Technical Presales Leadership

• Partner with sales and delivery teams to shape and win new logos and expand existing accounts.
• Lead end-to-end technical presales for AI-native engineering deals, discovery, solutioning, demos, PoCs and own technical response for RFPs, RFIs, and proposals, including commercial framing and multicloud/hybrid modernization strategy.
• Support deal transition from pursuit to delivery, ensuring architectural intent and client commitments are fully covered and conveyed to delivery team and into execution.

AI Advisory & Model Strategy

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients throughout the pursuit lifecycle; advise on the AI model and LLM strategy evaluating tradeoffs, security, governance, total costs and guide model selection across frontier models, SLMs, and the broader AI ecosystem.
• Help clients understand tokenomics, cost optimization, and AI operating model considerations; advise on Model Context Protocol (MCP), agent orchestration, and multi-agent architectures.
• Lead executive workshops and technical discovery sessions for payers, providers, and retail stakeholders; advise CIOs, CTOs, CSOs, and CAIOs on modernization, cloud strategy, and AI adoption.

Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Front-end technical solution architecture discussions with clients across AI-driven product development, AI-led application modernization, agentic quality engineering, AI-infused greenfield development, and AI-first application managed services.
• Design target-state architectures for AI-led application modernization, AI-assisted code comprehension and documentation of legacy systems, automated refactoring, monolith-to-microservices decomposition, and AI-accelerated cloud migration.
• Architect agentic DevOps and Azure Well-Architected Framework-aligned reference architectures, agentic QA solutions (test generation, execution, defect triage, self-healing) and AI-infused SDLC (AI-assisted code generation, review, CI/CD, and releases).

Healthcare, Retail & Interoperability

• Design interoperability solutions (APIs, FHIR, HL7) and shape modernization pursuits across payer, provider, HealthTech, and Retail organizations, architecting agentic app modernization approaches across multicloud and hybrid environments.
• Bring practical understanding of claims, prior authorization, utilization/care management, revenue cycle management, member/patient engagement, store associate experience and supply chain management constructs into relevant pursuit.
• Conceive and build reusable accelerators, frameworks, and IP for AI-driven code migration and refactoring toolkits, agentic test-automation, SDLC agents, and modernization patterns that differentiate pursuits and compress delivery timelines.

Microsoft Ecosystem Engagement

• Build and maintain relationships within the Microsoft channel sales ecosystem — partner managers, ISV/co-sell teams, and AI/Azure specialists — to unlock co-sell opportunities, funding programs, and joint go-to-market motions.
• Leverage Microsoft partner designations (Solutions Partner, Specializations), co-sell tools (Partner Center, ACE), and MACC/Azure consumption commitments to accelerate and de-risk pursuits.
• Stay current on Microsoft's roadmap (GitHub Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, Agentic DevOps, Azure Well-Architected updates) and translate it into pursuit and proposal value.

What We're Looking For

• 12+ years in Engineering, Application Modernization, Cloud Transformation, or Technology Consulting, with 5+ years in a presales and solution architecture capacity, ideally within a Microsoft-focused services organization.
• Demonstrated experience closing or supporting deals in AI-led application modernization, agentic QA, and AI-infused SDLC deals sold and delivered, including RFP/RFI response, proposal development, and executive-level solution presentations.
• Hands-on or architectural depth with AI-native engineering tools and platforms, AI code assistants/copilots (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor), AI-assisted code migration/refactoring tools, agentic test automation frameworks, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and CI/CD pipeline orchestration; strong grasp of Azure Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Working knowledge of the LLM/foundation model landscape, tokenomics, and MCP, with the ability to advise clients on AI model choices and cost/performance tradeoffs.
• Experience shaping and structuring app modernization deals on hyperscaler platforms, including multi cloud/hybrid modernization strategy, and architecting QA modernization or AI-augmented managed services offerings.
• Track record of building reusable accelerators, frameworks, or IP assets that have driven measurable differentiation, faster deal cycles, or faster time-to-value in prior engagements.
• Direct experience working within the Microsoft partner/channel ecosystem including co-sell motions, MACC, partner incentive programs, and joint solution development with Microsoft partner and field teams.
• Solid understanding of modern software architecture: microservices, APIs, containerization/Kubernetes, and cloud-native design (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP a plus).
• Experience supporting Health Care organizations (health plans, providers, IDNs, PBMs, or health tech companies) organizations, with deep understanding of claims, prior authorization, utilization/care management, RCM, and member/patient engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead client and executive workshops that generate strategic opportunities, working closely with sales, delivery, and client partner teams.
• Strong storytelling, executive presentation, and cross-functional influence skills in matrixed organizations; comfortable presenting technical narratives to C-level and engineering audiences alike.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience at a healthcare, retail organization, or IT services/consulting firm serving healthcare and/or retail clients.
• Hands-on experience with AI-driven legacy application code analysis and transformation tools applied to real-life modernization engagements, designing and implementing agentic AI systems (multi-agent orchestration, agentic QA).
• Familiarity with AI-led modernization of healthcare-specific tech stacks, Epic, claims systems, EHR platforms, HL7/FHIR interfaces, CMS interoperability initiatives; solid understanding of HIPAA, HITRUST and compliance requirements.
• Existing relationships across the Microsoft partner ecosystem including Microsoft AI, Azure, PSA, CSA and alliance teams, and healthcare technology/consulting ecosystems.
• Exposure to analyst frameworks and reports (Gartner, Forrester, HFS, Everest Group, ISG, Avasant) on AI-led application modernization or AI-native software engineering.
• Microsoft certifications (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure AI Engineer Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, GitHub Copilot), Healthcare certifications, TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture credential.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Master's degree a plus.
