About Us

Vibe Technology Limited is building Vibenotes, an AI-powered iPad learning platform designed for high school and university students.

Our goal is simple: make studying feel less fragmented, less overwhelming, and more adaptive to each student’s real progress.

About The Role

We are looking for a student software engineer or technical builder to help us develop Vibenotes and related materials, including the app, website, backend tools, AI workflows, and product demos.

You do not need to already know every framework we use. We care more about whether you are curious, willing to learn, and able to use modern AI tools effectively to build, debug, research, and improve your work.

A strong candidate is someone who enjoys figuring things out, can communicate clearly, and is excited by the idea of building real software that students may actually use.

What You May Work On

• Building and improving features in the Vibenotes iPad app.

• Helping develop AI-powered study tools such as summaries, quizzes, hints, planners, and dashboards.

• Improving the user experience for note-taking, PDF reading, Apple Pencil annotation, and revision workflows.

• Working with backend services, APIs, Supabase functions, or AI model integrations.

• Helping create the website, landing pages, demo materials, documentation, or launch assets.

• Testing features, fixing bugs, improving performance, and polishing details.

• Exploring how LLMs and AI coding tools can speed up development while still keeping quality high.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Is a university student in a STEM-related field, or has strong self-taught technical ability.

• Is interested in AI, education technology, apps, productivity tools, or student learning.

• Is willing to learn new tools and frameworks quickly.

• Can make good use of LLMs and AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.

• Has good judgment when using AI: able to check, test, understand, and improve AI-generated work.

• Communicates clearly and is comfortable asking questions when something is unclear.

• Enjoys building practical things rather than only studying theory.

Helpful But Not Required

Experience with any of the following would be useful, but not mandatory:

• Swift / SwiftUI / iOS development

• JavaScript / TypeScript / React

• Python or backend development

• Supabase, Firebase, or APIs

• LLM APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, or AI agents

• UI/UX design or frontend implementation

• Git, GitHub, or basic software collaboration workflows

What Matters Most

We are not looking for someone who already knows everything.

We are looking for someone who can learn fast, use AI intelligently, care about product quality, and stay engaged with a real-world startup project.

This role is a good fit for a student who wants hands-on experience building an AI product from the inside, including engineering, product design, testing, and launch preparation.

This role involves innovation and technology work and may be suitable for eligible students under the Hong Kong STEM Internship Scheme, subject to the requirements and approval process of the student’s university. Candidates should confirm eligibility with their university career office.
