Technical Project Manager – AI Delivery

Location: Dublin : 2-3 days onsite in the city centre

This is an initial 3 month contract with immediate start required

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of AI and technology projects, from initial discovery through development, deployment and transition into ongoing support.

You will act as the key interface between clients, business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring projects are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards while achieving measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of AI projects, including machine learning, generative AI and agent-based solutions.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, resources and delivery roadmaps.
• Establish project governance and manage risks, issues, dependencies and change requests.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including data scientists, data engineers, UI engineers and solution architects.
• Build strong relationships with clients and senior stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and executive reporting.
• Manage project financials, resource planning, forecasts and budget performance.
• Ensure AI solutions meet functional, technical, security and operational requirements, including data quality, accuracy validation and appropriate safeguards.
• Track project success metrics, drive business value realisation and manage handover into ongoing support.

Required Experience

• Proven experience delivering complex technology, data, analytics or AI projects from initiation through to successful implementation.
• Strong project governance, planning, budgeting, risk management and resource coordination skills.
• Experience managing senior stakeholders, clients and third-party suppliers.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
• A commercially minded approach, with a focus on delivery quality and measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional project management certification, such as PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM or Scrum Master.
• Additional qualifications in data, analytics, AI or technology management are desirable.
