AI Security Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a AI Security Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.

This role will help strengthen the security posture of enterprise AI initiatives across cloud and application environments. You will design safeguards for machine learning and generative AI solutions while ensuring secure deployment patterns, data protection, and identity integration. The position will also partner closely with engineering, security, and incident response teams to help reduce risk and respond effectively to AI-related threats.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $117,500 – $234,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain security controls for enterprise AI platforms
• Implement safeguards for AI application security, including LLM and machine learning solutions
• Integrate security controls with identity management and data protection tools
• Develop automation workflows and monitoring capabilities for AI threats
• Engineer secure patterns for AI application deployments and data pipelines
• Collaborate with teams to ensure security throughout the AI lifecycle
• Support incident response and remediation for AI-related security issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent military experience or direct AI security experience
• 5+ years of cybersecurity technology support or implementation in cloud and application environments
• Proficiency in securing Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud environments
• Experience with AI security technologies, especially Microsoft Copilot and Azure AI Services
• Skills in scripting and automation with Python, PowerShell, or Terraform
• Understanding of generative AI and associated security frameworks
