We are looking for an AI Security Enginer

Location: Venda do Pinheiro
Work model: First months – 1 day/week in the office; after the initial phase – 1 day/month in the office

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Embed security by design across AI use cases, agents and platform integrations, ensuring alignment with the groupwide security framework.
• Implement controls for access management, secrets management, logging, monitoring, sandboxing, tool and API restrictions, and external integrations.
• Translate security policies and architecture principles into practical technical controls, reusable patterns and guidance for AI teams.
• Ensure implementations address risk, third-party, supplier and operational security requirements.
• Prepare security-gate evidence, drive remediation following security reviews and escalate unresolved control gaps, deviations and delivery risks.
• Address AI-specific risks, including prompt injection, data leakage, insecure tool use, excessive permissions and weak auditability.
• Apply hardening measures and secure deployment patterns to AI applications, agents and supporting platform components.
• Support security due diligence and secure implementation of external AI vendors, models, orchestration components and APIs.
• Ensure appropriate safeguards for data protection and segregation in external integrations.
• Strengthen AI incident readiness through detection, logging, response scenarios, playbooks and exercises.
• Collaborate closely with SOC and central Security teams on incident preparedness and response.
• Work with AI Product, Engineering, Platform, Group CISO, Data Protection and country IT and Security teams to ensure consistent security practices.
• Scale secure AI delivery through reusable implementation patterns, stronger AI Hub capabilities and shared lessons learned.

PROFILE & SKILLS

• 7+ years of professional experience in IT and Cyber Security, including experience in transformation, digital or platform environments.
• Experience managing security across large, international technology programmes.
• Strong technical grounding in cloud security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), application security and secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Working knowledge of AI/ML and Agentic AI security, including prompt injection, data leakage, agent identity, tool-use risks and model supply chain security.
• Familiarity with OWASP LLM Top 10, MITRE ATLAS and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
• Experience in threat modelling, risk assessment and security architecture.
• Ability to translate security requirements into practical controls and secure implementation patterns.
• Ability to work hands-on with Engineering teams while maintaining alignment with group security standards and control expectations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with Executives, Engineers and country teams.
• Ability to combine strategic security oversight with practical technical implementation.
