AI Security Engineer

Senior AI Security Engineer | Cyber Defense & LLM Security

A leading organization in Central Israel is looking for a Senior AI Security Engineer to design, implement, and lead advanced cybersecurity solutions, with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and securing AI models.

This senior technical role combines enterprise cyber defense engineering, secure architecture design, AI/ML security, and technical team leadership.

You will work on securing AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), protecting enterprise infrastructure against advanced threats, and integrating AI-driven capabilities into cybersecurity operations.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement advanced cybersecurity infrastructure and defense solutions
• Plan secure network architectures aligned with organizational requirements and evolving cyber threats
• Evaluate, select, and implement security technologies across enterprise IT environments
• Develop security hardening guidelines for operating systems, databases, networks, applications, and endpoints
• Design monitoring, detection, and alerting capabilities for security operations environments
• Provide technical and operational support during cybersecurity incidents
• Secure AI models and LLM-based systems against threats such as Prompt Injection, Data Poisoning, Model Inversion, and Evasion Attacks
• Work with AI/ML development lifecycles and MLOps processes
• Integrate AI-driven cybersecurity capabilities, including Anomaly Detection, Network Detection, and User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA)
• Work with cloud AI platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Azure AI Services, and Google Vertex AI
• Provide technical leadership to cybersecurity and technology teams as needed

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of professional experience in Cybersecurity or Information Security
• 2+ years of experience managing technical teams
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with AI/ML technologies and Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Practical experience securing AI models and addressing AI-specific security threats
• Familiarity with the AI/ML lifecycle, MLOps, and OWASP Top 10 for LLMs
• Strong Python programming skills
• Experience working with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Scikit-learn
• Experience applying AI to cybersecurity use cases, including Anomaly Detection, Network Detection, and UEBA
• Experience working with at least one cloud AI platform: AWS SageMaker, Azure AI Services, or Google Vertex AI
• Strong systems-level thinking and the ability to design complex enterprise security solutions

Advantage

• Familiarity with specialized AI Security and Adversarial Robustness tools

Education & Professional Background

Candidates must meet at least one of the following qualification paths:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or an exact sciences discipline
• Another academic degree combined with substantial professional cybersecurity training or certifications
• Relevant technical training and experience gained in a specialized military technology unit or an equivalent technical environment
