About the Role

We are looking for AI Software Development Engineers and Forward Deployed Engineers with strong hands-on experience in Python, AI/ML, and Generative AI to build and deploy intelligent applications. The ideal candidate should have experience developing AI-powered solutions and be comfortable working across the backend, AI/ML, and frontend layers.

For the Forward Deployed Engineer role, candidates with strong coding skills and experience working directly with customers or business stakeholders are preferred. The role involves understanding customer requirements, developing customized AI solutions, deploying them into production, and continuously improving the solutions based on customer feedback.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI and Generative AI applications using Python and modern AI/ML frameworks.
• Build scalable backend services, APIs, and AI-powered applications using Python.
• Develop and integrate Generative AI solutions, including LLM-based applications, RAG, prompt engineering, AI agents, and related technologies.
• Work with AI/ML models and data to build intelligent and production-ready applications.
• Develop user-facing applications and dashboards using React or other frontend technologies.
• Integrate frontend applications with Python-based APIs and AI/ML services.
• Build end-to-end AI applications covering frontend, backend, APIs, data, and AI/GenAI components.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• For FDE roles, interact directly with customers to understand their business problems and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop proof-of-concepts and customized AI solutions based on customer requirements.
• Deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize AI applications in customer environments.
• Gather customer feedback and continuously enhance AI solutions for performance, reliability, and usability.
• Participate in hands-on coding, debugging, testing, and production support.
• Follow software engineering best practices including Git, CI/CD, testing, code reviews, and documentation.

Required Technical Skills

Mandatory:

• Strong programming experience in Python
• Experience in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI / LLMs
• Experience building AI-powered applications
• Strong understanding of APIs and backend development
• Experience with Git/version control

Frontend:

• Experience with any frontend technology
• React.js preferred
• JavaScript / TypeScript knowledge is an advantage

AI / GenAI:

• LLMs

• Vector databases / embeddings
• Model/API integration
• Experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar is an advantage

Forward Deployed Engineer Additional Requirements

For the FDE position, candidates should additionally have:

• Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working directly with customers to understand technical/business requirements.
• Ability to convert customer problems into AI/GenAI-based technical solutions.
• Experience building and deploying POCs, prototypes, and production applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of solutions from requirement gathering to deployment.
• Strong hands-on coding skills rather than purely consulting or coordination experience.
• Ability to explain technical concepts and AI solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Language Requirements

• Japanese: Minimum N2, preferably N1
• English: Professional working proficiency
• Candidates should be comfortable communicating with Japanese customers and internal technical teams.
