Senior Solution Architect – AI Readiness

6 month initial contract

$1100 - $1200 per day

Hybrid (3-4 days in Melbourne CBD office)

We’re looking for a Senior Solution Architect to play a key role in modernising a complex enterprise technology environment and preparing the organisation for the next phase of AI-enabled digital transformation .

This is a senior architecture role focused on understanding the current technology landscape, addressing legacy constraints and technical debt, and defining the architecture and technology foundations required to support AI, automation and modern digital capabilities .

You’ll work across architecture, applications, integration, cloud, infrastructure, security and data, partnering with senior technology stakeholders to shape the future-state environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Assess and document the current state of a complex enterprise technology environment, identifying technical debt, risks, dependencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Define AI-readiness requirements across technology, integration, data, security and architecture.
• Develop solution options and recommendations for modernising or replacing legacy platforms and addressing key technical risks.
• Develop conceptual and logical solution architectures and detailed technical designs for future-state digital platforms.
• Design scalable integration architectures and API strategies across internal and third-party platforms.
• Provide architectural guidance on how emerging AI and automation capabilities can be safely integrated into the broader technology environment.
• Ensure solutions are designed with appropriate consideration for security, risk, regulatory and operational requirements.
• Act as a senior technical authority, leading architecture and design activities from discovery through to implementation.

About you

You’ll be an experienced Senior Solution Architect / with a strong background in complex technology environments and large-scale transformation.

We're particularly interested in people who have experience across:

• Enterprise and complex solution architecture and design.
• Modernising legacy technology environments and improving AI readiness.
• Designing large-scale digital platforms and integration ecosystems.
• AI solution architecture, GenAI or emerging AI technologies.
• Azure and cloud-based architecture.
• On-premise and hybrid technology environments.
• API and integration architecture.
• Infrastructure, cyber security and technology risk.
• Architecture governance, design reviews and technical assurance.
• Working across multiple architecture and technology domains.
• Managing senior stakeholders, vendors and delivery teams.

Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain/hold a police clearance are required.
