AI Solutions Architect

As we scale, we are hiring two (2) x AI Solutions Architects to sit on the front lines with our enterprise clients. You will bridge the gap between our core autonomous technology and our clients' most complex supply chain challenges. THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced AI Solutions Architect to translate real-world business problems into clear, implementable AI solutions with our Mentana Autonomous Supply Chain Manager.

You will work across business, product, software and data teams to define what the solution must achieve, what the Mentana AI agents need to do, and what data and technology are required to make it work. The role is centred on creating a clear end-to-end line of sight from Business Problem → Business Outcome → Agent Responsibilities → Data Requirements → Technical Solution → Measurable Value.

You will have a very high degree of autonomy in driving a successful relationship with our strategic clients and partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

DEFINE THE BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS & VALUES

1. Translate an ambiguous business problem or opportunity into a structured solution requirement;
2. Understand the current state, pain points, processes, systems, users and constraints; define the desired future state, scope, success measures and expected business value; and
3. Clearly articulate benefits such as productivity, cost reduction, growth, customer experience, quality, risk reduction and faster decision-making, together with technical value such as automation, integration, scalability, security, reliability and reusability.

DEFINE THE AI AGENT DESCRIPTIONS, TASK & WORKFLOWS

1. Turn business requirements into a precise definition of what the AI agent must do;
2. Define its purpose, responsibilities, triggers, inputs, understanding, decisions, actions, tools, outputs and escalation paths; and
3. Break complex work into executable tasks and sub-tasks, define business rules, constraints, exception handling and human-in-the-loop requirements, and establish measurable task-completion criteria.

DEFINE DATA REQUIREMENTS & TRANSFORMATION

1. Identify the data needed by the solution and where it resides across systems, applications, documents, APIs and databases;
2. Define data mapping, quality, completeness, timeliness, context and access requirements, and work with Data Engineers to specify how source data must be extracted, cleaned, validated, standardised, enriched, transformed, structured, combined and made available to the AI agent; and
3. Ensure security, privacy, governance and retention requirements are understood.

ARCHITECT THE END-TO-END SOLUTION

1. Translate the requirements into a practical AI solution architecture covering agents, models, data, APIs, integrations, workflows, applications and cloud services;
2. Assess technical feasibility, risks, dependencies, security, scalability, reliability and maintainability; and
3. Produce architecture and implementation-ready documentation that AI Engineers, Software Engineers and Data Engineers can act on without ambiguity.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an experienced AI Solutions Architect who commands deep technical expertise with a strong business acumen. You have a proven track record with deep technical hand-on experience as a Solution Architect, AI Architect, Business Architect, Product Architect, Software Architect or similar role.

You can demonstrate at a deep level the following:

1. Understanding of AI agents, Generative AI, LLMs, automation and AI-enabled business processes;
2. Business analysis and requirements-definition skills with the ability to turn ambiguity into clear specifications and know how to balance business value, technical feasibility, security, scalability and delivery constraints;
3. Ability to define detailed workflows, tasks, decision logic, exception handling and human-in-the-loop requirements;
4. Understanding of data architecture, data flows, data transformation and data quality;
5. Understanding of APIs, system integration, enterprise architecture and cloud-based solutions;
6. Experience collaborating with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, AI Engineers, Product Managers and business stakeholders; and
7. Excellent documentation, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, including explaining complex technology to non-technical stakeholders.
