Job Title: AI Solutions Architect — Applied AI / Generative AI (Media & Entertainment)
Location: Atlanta, GA — Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)
Contract Duration: 10 months (extension/conversion possible)
Pay rate: $140-150/hr on W2 all-inclusive
About the Role
A leading media and entertainment organization is seeking a senior AI Solutions Architect to serve as the top domain technology expert for applied AI across content creation, production, and distribution. This role will design and drive AI solutions spanning generative media (text, image, video, audio, 3D), retrieval and knowledge systems, and agentic workflow automation.
The architect will own technical specifications, reference architectures, model/vendor evaluation, responsible-AI controls, and production readiness for AI systems. This is a hands-on senior contract role within a small technology team focused on creative proof-of-concept work and building tools for creative industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as technical owner and point of contact for applied AI solutions across generative media, retrieval/knowledge systems, and agentic workflow automation.
- Develop technical specifications and reference architectures for AI systems with reusable, measurable creative and business value.
- Design for scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, availability, and manageability—plus AI-specific requirements such as inference latency, throughput, cost-per-generation, GPU utilization, model accuracy/drift, output quality, and safety.
- Evaluate and recommend models, platforms, and vendors based on benchmark performance, cost, licensing/IP terms, data-use rights, service agreements, and organizational constraints.
- Lead proofs of concept, prototypes, model bake-offs, and red-teaming exercises for new models, techniques, and tooling.
- Define evaluation strategy: offline eval harnesses, golden datasets, human-in-the-loop review, A/B testing, and production quality monitoring for non-deterministic systems.
- Architect responsible—AI controls by design: guardrails, content filtering, prompt injection and data exfiltration defenses, provenance/watermarking, rights and consent enforcement, audit logging, and human review gates.
- Ensure AI solutions are production-ready through model versioning, rollback, retraining/re-evaluation cadence, and knowledge management.
- Translate model capabilities and limitations for creative, production, and business stakeholders.
- Own incidents such as model degradation, harmful/off-brand output, and cost anomalies; communicate critical status.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of technology experience , including 3+ years architecting AI/ML or generative AI systems .
- Strong experience with AI orchestration and workflow frameworks.
- Expert-level knowledge of architecture, application systems design, and large-scale integration, with demonstrated delivery of AI/ML systems into production.
- Familiarity with media and entertainment workflows , including production and post-production experience.
- Strong understanding of SDLC with 3+ years of experience; ability to work with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Cursor.
- Deep hands-on experience with foundation models and generative AI: LLMs, diffusion/video generation, multimodal models; prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning/adapters (LoRA/PEFT), distillation, and agentic/tool-use patterns.
- Experience with model serving and inference infrastructure such as vLLM, TensorRT-LLM, Triton, Ray, SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Bedrock; GPU capacity planning and cost optimization.
- Experience with vector databases and retrieval systems such as pgvector, Pinecone, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, or Milvus; embedding strategy, chunking, and hybrid search.
- Strong experience with modern integration technologies: REST/gRPC APIs, event streaming (Kafka/Kinesis), webhooks, Model Context Protocol (MCP) or comparable agent-tool interfaces, and containerized deployment on Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of data structures, pipelines, and governance, including training-data lineage, PII handling, and content rights management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with AI governance and regulatory frameworks such as NIST AI RMF and EU AI Act.
- Experience with model evaluation methodology for probabilistic systems.
- Cloud architecture certification (AWS/GCP/Azure) or ML specialty certification.
- Working knowledge of media-specific AI applications: localization/dubbing, automated metadata and content tagging, editorial/promo assembly, VFX assist, archive search, and QC/compliance review.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Information Systems, or a related major, or equivalent technical/business experience.
