AI Systems & Automation Developer

Role overview

We are looking for a technically capable developer who can use AI, software development and automation tools to design, build and maintain business systems, websites and applications. You will work directly with management to turn ideas and operational requirements into reliable, practical solutions across multiple businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Build websites, customer portals, dashboards, booking platforms and internal management systems.
• Develop automated workflows across sales, operations, finance, marketing and customer support.
• Create AI assistants and agents for tasks such as answering enquiries, processing documents and supporting staff.
• Connect platforms through APIs, webhooks and integrations.
• Use AI coding tools and platforms such as Base44 alongside custom development where appropriate.
• Design databases, user permissions, approval processes and reporting.
• Test, troubleshoot and maintain systems, including security, backups and data protection.
• Document systems and train staff to use them effectively.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve business performance.

Required skills

• A portfolio of working systems, websites and automations they have personally delivered.
• Practical experience with AI tools, language models and AI-assisted development.
• Experience with automation platforms such as n8n, Make or Zapier.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, databases and APIs; Python is useful.
• Ability to understand business processes and deliver complete solutions independently.
• Strong problem-solving, testing and communication skills.

Pay: £31,000.00-£51,000.00 per year
