Every member of our team already leverages AI daily, and we are now seeking an AI Systems Engineer to take over our foundational infrastructure, make it durable, and build the mission-critical systems that run our business. Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, you will be our sole founding engineer, owning architecture, security, code, and deployment across internal tools, advisor portals, intelligence distribution, and automated workflows. Key Responsibilities

• Advisor Intelligence & CRM Systems: Architect systems to synthesize advisor, firm, and relationship data for opportunity ranking, meeting prep, and automated CRM/Slack/Asana workflows, while helping decide whether to extend or custom-build our CRM.
• Due Diligence Workflows: Build automated screening, questionnaire ingestion, gap analysis, memo drafting, and ongoing partner monitoring tools for real estate and wealth management partners.
• Web Portals & Interactive Tools: Develop public and private online tools, including DST Portfolio Builders, Opportunity Zone Builders, website chatbots, partner reporting dashboards, and portals for investors and financial advisors.
• Internal AI Layer & Retrieval: Build robust retrieval systems over firm documents with tiered access controls, task agents for recurring operations, skill packaging, versioning, change logging, and evaluations.
• Full-Stack Architecture & Security: Map non-technical workflows, integrate SaaS APIs (Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce, Asana, GitHub, etc.), enforce rigorous data encryption and audit logging, ship fast, and write clear documentation.

Must-Have Requirements

• Production Engineering Experience: 5+ years shipping production software, including at least 1 year building production LLM systems (tool use, agents, retrieval, structured output, prompt/version management, evals, cost/latency control).
• Programming & Cloud Fluency: High fluency in Python and TypeScript, strong relational data modeling skills, and comfort with cloud deployment, CI/CD, and secrets management.
• SaaS Integration & API Skills: Deep experience with REST, webhooks, OAuth, rate limits, and idempotency, alongside a background as a sole, founding, or forward-deployed engineer working directly with non-technical users.
• Data Security & Communication: Commitment to strict least-privilege data handling, encryption, and audit logging, paired with excellent written English and strong asynchronous communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Requirements

• CRM Expertise: Direct experience configuring, extending, or building custom CRM platforms like Salesforce.
• Specialized Technical Knowledge: Fintech or regulated data experience, document generation (DOCX/PDF) and e-signature workflows, data pipelines, and sound judgment on low-code orchestration tools.
