What they need

OUR MISSION

We believe that everyone is recovering from something. We believe that people do recover. Our mission is to help people recover.

Position summary

The AI Workforce and Development Lead builds and manages Hope Town AI’s workforce relationships with employers, treatment centers and recovery systems across Ohio. This person leads AI readiness training for those partners and their people, and supports the automation work behind it.

Automation is coordinated through the Hope Town AI build team. The role reports to and works closely with the Operations Manager.

Essential duties and responsibilities

1 · RELATIONSHIPS AND ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

  • Build relationships with employers, treatment centers and recovery systems across Ohio, and grow workforce connections and partner referrals.
  • Own each workforce account from kickoff through renewal: needs assessment, scope, training plan, delivery and the monthly report, within contracted hours.
  • Lead check-ins, monthly reports and quarterly reviews with each partner, and bring renewal and expansion opportunities to the Operations Manager.

2 · AI READINESS TRAINING AND SUPPORTING AUTOMATION

  • Lead AI readiness and upskilling trainings for client leaders and staff, Hope Town residents and staff preparing for work, and Ohio’s wider workforce, in person and online.
  • Teach Hope Town staff the tools they use and the AI Governance Policy, and follow that policy on every engagement, keeping confidential client information out of AI systems.
  • Build and update training materials, guides and short videos so clients can train their own people.
  • Support automation for trainings, partners and Hope Town staff, in coordination with the Hope Town AI build team.
  • Present at conferences, partner meetings and community events, explaining technical work in plain language.
  • Schedule and oversee the trainers who deliver Hope Town AI sessions in the field.

SHARED ACROSS THE TEAM

  • Log your work in real time, as it happens, and close it out in the Hub and Smartsheet the same day it finishes. The team works asynchronously.

What success looks like

First 90 days: Train and upskill more than 100 people through Ohio TechCred and a training partner. Fluent in Hope Town AI’s training programs, systems and standards, and owns day-to-day contact for at least one account.

First 6 months: Delivers AI readiness trainings independently. Manages two or more accounts within contracted hours, with monthly reports on time and a steady flow of partner referrals.

First year: A network of workforce partners that renew and refer, and a training library partners use to train their own teams.

Minimum qualifications

AI and workforce readiness. Experience preparing people for work with AI: readiness assessment, training or upskilling programs for a general workforce, or for staff and leaders inside an organization.

AI readiness and ability (required) This is the heart of the role. Every item below is required, and candidates show it with real work, not a list of tools.

  • You use AI every day. Hands-on, current use of large language model tools such as Claude and ChatGPT in your own work, and you can show us how.
  • You know how the pieces fit. Working knowledge of prompting, knowledge bases, connectors and integrations, and the difference between generative AI and agentic AI, well enough to explain them to a client.
  • You know how AI fails. You recognize made-up facts, confident mistakes, bias and over-trust, and you teach people to check AI’s work before it reaches a client, a person we serve or the public.
  • You can assess AI readiness. You can walk into an organization, read its workflows, staff skills and governance, and turn what you find into a practical training plan.
  • You can teach it. You can explain all of the above in plain language to non-technical staff and leaders, and leave them able to use and govern the tools themselves.
  • You govern it. You understand responsible AI use: approved tools, data levels, keeping confidential client information out of AI systems, and human sign-off on what AI produces.

Also required

  • Experience delivering training or workforce development programs to adults, including non-technical audiences, in person and online.
  • Experience building workforce connections and partner relationships with employers, workforce boards, treatment centers or agencies.
  • Experience managing client or partner accounts: scoping work, keeping commitments, and communicating progress and problems clearly. Strong organization across several accounts and trainings at once.
  • Willing to travel nationwide for conferences, to conduct trainings, and for program implementations.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in, and working knowledge of, behavioral health or healthcare operations. Strongly preferred for the client accounts we serve.
  • Experience in recovery or nonprofit organizations.
  • Experience with CRM and sales tools. GoHighLevel and Smartsheet are a plus.
  • Lived experience in recovery is welcome here, in every role.
  • Valid driver’s license. A related undergraduate degree is preferred but not required.

Compensation

Salary: $60,000 to start, with quarterly performance bonuses, as for every role in Hope Town AI. With bonuses, total pay can reach $75,000 to $85,000 within the first 12 to 18 months. Bonus plan details are set separately.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
