Storage Engineer – AI/HPC Infrastructure

Job Description

We are looking for a Storage Engineer – AI/HPC Infrastructure to provide operational and technical support for high-performance storage environments supporting AI and HPC workloads. The role will focus on WEKA and Dell PowerScale platforms, storage performance, data path validation, and incident troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for WEKA and Dell PowerScale (Isilon) storage environments.
• Perform regular storage health checks, connectivity validation, and resilience monitoring.
• Validate end-to-end data paths for AI/HPC workloads across storage, network fabric, and compute layers.
• Monitor and troubleshoot storage performance, including throughput, latency, connectivity, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot storage-related incidents and identify performance bottlenecks across storage, network, and compute infrastructure.
• Support Linux client integration, including mount-path and client connectivity troubleshooting.
• Perform capacity monitoring and planning to ensure storage availability and scalability.
• Analyze storage and data-service behavior in performance-sensitive AI/HPC environments.
• Work with infrastructure and engineering teams to resolve complex storage and data path issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Storage Engineering, Storage Administration, or related IT Infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on experience with WEKA and/or Dell PowerScale (Isilon).
• Strong understanding of scale-out storage platforms and distributed/parallel data access.
• Experience supporting HPC, AI/ML, or other high-performance computing environments is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of storage performance metrics, including throughput, latency, capacity, and connectivity.
• Experience with Linux client integration and mount-path troubleshooting.
• Ability to troubleshoot end-to-end infrastructure issues and determine whether bottlenecks originate from storage, network fabric, or compute layers.
• Good understanding of file and data services operations, storage health, and resilience.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with AI/HPC infrastructure and high-performance storage.
• Experience with WEKA Data Platform / WekaFS.
• Experience with Dell PowerScale / Isilon.
• Experience in enterprise or HPC storage engineering environments.
