AI/ML Engineer

1. Do you have hands-on experience working with LLMs across post-training, evaluations, inference or ML infrastructure?
2. Have you built or owned systems involving RL environments, evals, training runs, model serving or continual learning?
3. Are you a strong hands-on engineer with Python / PyTorch and experience taking technical work from experimentation through to production?
4. Have you worked on areas such as SFT, preference optimisation, reinforcement learning, model serving, GPU infrastructure or inference optimisation?
5. Do you have experience at an AI-native startup, frontier AI company or strong ML research environment?
6. Are you comfortable joining a very small technical team where you will have significant ownership and work directly with the founders?

This is a rare opportunity to join an early-stage AI company and, depending on your background, you could focus more heavily on post-training research, research engineering or ML / inference infrastructure, working across areas such as evaluations, RL environments, training, model serving and continual learning.

The roles are based on-site in the San Francisco Bay Area, 5 days per week. Salary on offer is $200,000 to $350,000 depending on experience and specialism.
