Role Summary

The senior technical and methodological leader for an engagement that moves an Insurance customer from AI-assisted coding toward an AI-driven software development lifecycle. The Tech Lead owns how enterprise standards are codified into Kiro and how spec-driven development is adopted consistently across business-unit teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Policy and process discovery - Capture engineering policies, coding standards, security and compliance requirements,
• architecture practices and SDLC processes.
• Kiro standards - Translate discovered standards into centrally governed Kiro steering, hooks and skills rather than relying
• on documents alone.
• AI-DLC workflow - Design a spec-driven workflow from business intent through clarified scope, requirements, task
• breakdown, code, tests and iteration, with developer confirmation at the gates.
• Enterprise architecture - Set the architecture for centrally managed Kiro configurations distributed through
• customer-standard developer tooling.
• BU technical leadership - Guide up to three parallel BU projects and use delivery findings to refine enterprise standards.
• Value realization - Partner with the Kiro customer-success team on the cost-and-value measurement POC and shape the
• value story for leadership.
• COE enablement - Mentor customer COE champions so they can independently operate and extend the model after
• handoff.
• MCP governance - Advise on MCP registry and gateway direction so that approved MCPs are made available to Kiro
• users.
• Stakeholder leadership - Facilitate discovery and Value Stream Mapping sessions and present technical direction and
• outcomes to sponsors and engineering leaders

Qualifications

• Experience - Senior technical consulting or Staff/Principal Engineering experience leading enterprise transformation.
• Core requirement - Strong AI-driven development, engineering-governance, enterprise architecture and
• technical-leadership capability.
• Delivery capability - Ability to define the method, govern parallel BU delivery and turn standards into centrally managed
• Kiro capabilities.
• Preferred - Direct Kiro experience and regulated-enterprise or Financial Services experience.
• Success measures - BU projects and champions aligned; enterprise Kiro assets in use across parallel initiatives;
• measurable throughput gains; credible cost-and-value narrative; self-sufficient COE.
