Position: CloudOps Platform Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

Platform Engineering & Leadership

• Own and drive Azure platform architecture, roadmap, and engineering standards.
• Define reusable platform services, golden paths, and self-service capabilities.
• Act as the technical authority and escalation point for platform engineering and CloudOps integrations.
• Lead platform modernization and operational excellence initiatives.

AIOps & Observability

• Define and implement AIOps strategy for Azure CloudOps environments.

• Drive:

• Alert correlation & noise reduction

• Predictive analytics & anomaly detection

• Automated remediation using APIs and Python

• Standardize observability data for automation and analytics consumption.

• Continuously improve MTTR, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Azure Infrastructure & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Architect and govern enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure using Terraform.
• Implement secure and scalable landing zones, networking, identity, and governance models.
• Review and standardize Terraform modules for scalability, security, and operational readiness.

CI/CD & Automation Engineering

• Define enterprise CI/CD standards using Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.
• Automate deployment and operational workflows.
• Integrate infrastructure automation into DevOps processes.

API Integration & Platform Connectivity

• Lead integrations across:

• Azure Services (ARM, AKS, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Key Vault)

• Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, Boards)

• Observability Platforms (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki)

• ITSM Platforms (ServiceNow, Incident/Ticketing Tools)

• Develop API-driven automation workflows using Python, REST APIs, Webhooks, and event-driven architecture.

• Standardize authentication, authorization, and secrets management practices.

• Ensure integrations are secure, resilient, observable, and automation-ready.

Kubernetes & Cloud-Native Engineering

• Provide leadership for AKS architecture and operations.

• Define standards for:

• Networking

• Security

• Scaling

• Cluster lifecycle management

• Guide teams on Helm deployments and cloud-native best practices.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Mentor and lead platform/cloud engineers.
• Collaborate with Security, SRE, FinOps, and CloudOps teams.
• Create SOPs, runbooks, API contracts, and operational documentation.

BAU Operations & Support

• Own platform stability, reliability, and CloudOps BAU activities.

• Participate in rotational on-call support and lead production escalations involving:

• AKS

• Azure Infrastructure

• CI/CD Failures

• Drive RCA, post-incident reviews, and operational improvements.

• Automate recurring operational tasks using Python, APIs, and CI/CD workflows.

• Enable shift-left operations through automation and AIOps adoption.
