Air Conditioning Engineer

If you're a VRV/VRF service engineer, this role is built around a sensible 8-hour day. There's no call-out rota and you'll very rarely work out of hours. It depends on workload and site access, but most days you'll be packed up and heading home mid-afternoon, before the rush hour starts. The basic is £45,000 to £52,000, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

You'll do planned maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on commercial VRV/VRF and split systems, for clients across London and the Home Counties. Your jobs are planned around where you live as far as possible, so you spend less time crossing the South East between visits.

Equipment is delivered to site, so you won't start the day queuing at a depot. Job sheets and service records are done on a tablet before you leave site.

If you want to broaden out, there's a route into chillers and critical cooling through training and time on the tools. If you'd rather stay on VRV/VRF, that's fine too. It's your call.

What you'll need

• Strong fault-finding experience on commercial VRV/VRF and splits
• F-Gas Cat 1
• CSCS card
• Full UK driving licence
• Daikin Service Checker experience or an NVQ Level 3 would help, but you don't need them
