Air Conditioning Engineer

About the Role

Love Green Heat Pumps Ltd is looking for a skilled and reliable Air Conditioning Engineer to install, maintain and repair domestic air conditioning systems. The successful candidate will help deliver safe, efficient and high-quality service to homeowners.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission domestic air conditioning systems, including single-room and multi-split units.
• Carry out routine servicing, preventative maintenance and system inspections.
• Diagnose faults and perform air conditioning repairs.
• Check refrigerant systems, pipework, drainage and electrical connections within their competence.
• Identify system performance issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Follow UK health and safety requirements and relevant industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance visits and repairs.
• Communicate professionally with customers and provide clear explanations of work completed.

Essential Requirements

• Proven practical experience installing, servicing and repairing air conditioning systems.
• Relevant air conditioning, refrigeration or HVAC qualification, such as an NVQ, City & Guilds qualification or equivalent.
• Appropriate individual F-Gas certification for the refrigerant-related work undertaken.
• Good fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safe working practices and relevant UK regulations.
• Strong communication skills and a professional approach to customer service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

• Experience with domestic split and multi-split air conditioning systems.
• Relevant electrical training or qualifications.
• A valid UK driving licence, where required for the role.
