Role Description

The Air Conditioning Installer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and testing of air conditioning systems at customer sites across the United Kingdom.

Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, installing pipework and ducting, wiring and connecting units, and verifying system performance against specifications.

The role also involves diagnosing installation issues, performing basic fault finding, completing necessary documentation, and ensuring all work complies with safety and regulatory standards.

Collaboration with engineers, project managers, and customers to plan work, maintain clean and safe work areas, and provide professional on-site service is expected.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in the United Kingdom, requiring travel to various client locations.

Qualifications

• Practical skills in air conditioning installation, including mounting units, routing pipework, and connecting electrical supplies safely and accurately.
• Experience reading technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals, with the ability to follow manufacturer specifications and project plans.
• Knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning principles, including refrigerants, pressure testing, evacuation, and commissioning procedures.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices, including working safely at height, manual handling, and adherence to Gas Safe/F Gas and relevant UK regulations.
• Ability to diagnose installation-related issues, carry out basic fault finding, and communicate technical information clearly to colleagues and customers.
• Good time management, organisational skills, and reliability to complete installations on schedule and to a high standard.
• Relevant vocational qualifications or apprenticeships in air conditioning, refrigeration, or mechanical services; industry certifications (e.g., F Gas) are highly beneficial.
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites across the UK.
• Previous experience in commercial or industrial air conditioning installation is an advantage.
