Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) equipment across various commercial and residential settings. Duties

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with air conditioning units using mechanical knowledge and schematics to identify root causes efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC systems to ensure reliable operation, including cleaning filters, inspecting components, and calibrating controls.
• Repair or replace faulty equipment parts, ensuring repairs meet safety and quality standards.
• Install new air conditioning systems in accordance with technical specifications and construction best practices.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to guide repairs and installations accurately.
• Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during complex maintenance or installation projects, demonstrating leadership skills.
• Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance for future reference.

Requirements

• Proven mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, including familiarity with air conditioning components and operation principles.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals effectively.
• Prior experience in equipment repair, maintenance, or construction involving HVAC or related systems is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to supervise or guide junior technicians when necessary.
• Practical experience working with air conditioning units in commercial or residential environments.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical work and equipment handling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.

Pay: £16.00-£20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
