Air Conditioning Technician

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Air-Conditioning Technician to join our hotel engineering and maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air-conditioning and ventilation systems to ensure the comfort and safety of hotel guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspection, cleaning, and preventive maintenance of air-conditioning units, including split-type, window-type, and other HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot air-conditioning problems, including cooling issues, refrigerant leaks, electrical faults, unusual noises, and water leakage.
• Conduct repairs and replacement of defective parts, including compressors, motors, thermostats, capacitors, filters, and other components.
• Check refrigerant levels and perform refrigerant charging and leak detection in accordance with safety procedures.
• Clean air filters, evaporator coils, condenser coils, drain lines, and other air-conditioning components.
• Monitor the operating condition and energy efficiency of air-conditioning and ventilation systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest room concerns involving air-conditioning equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of hotel guest rooms, offices, restaurants, function rooms, and other facilities.
• Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance schedules, repairs, equipment condition, and materials used.
• Coordinate with the Engineering team regarding major repairs, equipment replacement, and other maintenance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, occupational safety standards, and proper handling of tools, equipment, and refrigerants.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area after completing repairs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Engineering Supervisor or Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• High school graduate, vocational graduate, or technical course graduate in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technology, HVAC, or a related field.
• With experience in air-conditioning installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance; hotel experience is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable in electrical systems, refrigeration principles, and HVAC equipment.
• Able to use basic electrical testing instruments, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Familiar with preventive maintenance procedures and workplace safety practices.
• Physically fit and capable of performing maintenance work, including working at elevated areas when necessary and safe.
• Responsible, hardworking, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays when required by hotel operations.

Hotel Operations

• Ensure that all air-conditioning units and ventilation systems are maintained in good working condition to support uninterrupted hotel operations.
• Prioritize air-conditioning concerns in occupied guest rooms and other guest-facing areas.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and coordinate with the Front Office and other departments when necessary.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize equipment breakdowns and maintain guest comfort.
• Follow hotel standards for guest service, workplace safety, energy conservation, and maintenance documentation.

Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php25,000.00 per month
