This is a vesselbased offshore role supporting subsea inspection, maintenance, repair, and light construction activities across offshore projects in the UAE.
You will be responsible for executing safe and efficient air diving operations as part of an offshore dive team, working under the direction of the Dive Supervisor. The role involves performing underwater inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation activities while ensuring full compliance with IMCA D 014, ADNOC diving requirements, and company diving management systems.
Key Responsibilities
Perform offshore air diving operations within approved depth limits in support of subsea inspection, maintenance, repair, installation, and light construction activities.
Carry out underwater tasks including structural inspections, cathodic protection (CP) measurements, marine growth removal, bolt replacement, anode installation, and other subsea maintenance activities.
Perform duties as a working diver, standby diver, or bellman/tender as assigned by the Dive Supervisor, ensuring full compliance with approved dive procedures.
Conduct predive inspections of diving equipment, breathing systems, communication equipment, and personal protective equipment, confirming operational readiness before each dive.
Maintain continuous communication with Dive Control throughout diving operations, providing updates on underwater conditions, work progress, and any safety concerns.
Execute diving activities in accordance with approved dive plans, maintaining strict adherence to depth limitations, bottom times, decompression schedules, and emergency procedures.
Assist with the preparation, rigging, operation, and maintenance of the dive spread, Launch and Recovery System (LARS), compressors, umbilicals, and associated diving equipment.
Participate in prejob planning meetings, risk assessments, toolbox talks, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and daily safety briefings to ensure safe execution of diving operations.
Support postdive debriefings by providing operational feedback and assisting with the completion of dive logs, maintenance records, and daily operational reports.
Maintain diving equipment in a safe and serviceable condition, promptly reporting defects, equipment failures, or safety concerns to the Dive Supervisor.
Promote compliance with company HSE procedures, IMCA guidelines, client requirements, and international offshore diving standards while contributing to a strong safety culture onboard.
Requirements
HSE Part IV Air Diving qualification or an equivalent internationally recognised commercial diving qualification.
IMCA D 014 compliant commercial diving qualification is mandatory.
3–7 years of offshore operational air diving experience within subsea construction, inspection, IRM, or offshore oil & gas projects.
