Air Export Coordinator

Overview:

My client is looking for an experienced Air Export Coordinator to join their international freight forwarding business. You will manage air export shipments from booking through departure, ensuring documentation, compliance, customer service, and operational requirements are handled accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end air export process from booking to departure.
• Arrange airline bookings, collections, deliveries, and cargo cut-offs.
• Prepare and check MAWBs, HAWBs, commercial invoices, packing lists, and export documentation.
• Coordinate with airlines, hauliers, warehouses, overseas agents, and customers.
• Track shipments and provide proactive updates to customers.
• Resolve delays, documentation issues, and operational exceptions.
• Ensure shipments comply with relevant export, security, and airline requirements.
• Support specialist shipments including time-critical, oversized, valuable, or hazardous cargo where required.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and assist with invoicing and cost control.

Requirements:

• 2+ years' experience in air export freight forwarding .
• Good understanding of international air freight processes and documentation.
• Experience with MAWB/HAWB and airline bookings.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and freight forwarding systems.
• Dangerous goods/export compliance knowledge is advantageous.
