Air Freight Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

• Operation Management: Oversee the end-to-end process of air import shipments, including receiving pre-alerts, verifying shipping documents (AWB, Commercial Invoice, Packing List), and coordinating with overseas agents.
• Customs Clearance: Prepare and lodge accurate import declarations via the [Insert Local Customs System, e.g., TradeNet/AMS] and ensure compliance with all local regulations and customs requirements.
• Coordination: Liaise closely with airlines, trucking companies, and warehouse handlers to ensure timely cargo collection and delivery.
• Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding shipment status, delays, and documentation requirements. Provide proactive updates to all stakeholders.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve operational issues, including delays, documentation discrepancies, and rate disputes, in a timely manner.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in Air Freight Import operations.
• System Knowledge: Proficiency in operating freight forwarding software (e.g., Sysfreight) is a strong advantage.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of local customs regulations, licensing, and permit requirements.
