Air Freight Customer Service Representative

NYS International Freight Sdn Bhd is looking for a proactive, customer-focused and detail-oriented Air Freight Customer Service Representative to join our growing freight and logistics team. This full-time position is based at our KLIA facility/ Da-Men Subang, Selangor.

You will be responsible for managing air freight customer requirements, coordinating shipments and providing timely updates to ensure smooth and efficient import and export operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily air freight import and export bookings, enquiries and customer requests.
• Coordinate with airlines, overseas agents, customers, transporters and internal departments to ensure timely shipment arrangements and cargo delivery.
• Prepare and process shipping and logistics documentation, including Air Waybills (AWB), invoices, shipment documents and tracking records.
• Monitor shipment status and provide accurate and proactive updates to customers.
• Follow up closely with customers, airlines, agents and relevant parties to ensure shipments progress according to schedule.
• Handle customer complaints, service issues and operational challenges professionally and efficiently.
• Identify potential shipment delays or issues and coordinate appropriate solutions.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure all documentation is complete and properly maintained.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing responsive and professional service.
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior.

Requirements

• Minimum SPM/STPM or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in air freight forwarding, logistics, customer service or a related field.
• Fresh graduates with a strong interest in freight forwarding and logistics are encouraged to apply.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Other Chinese dialects are an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with CargoWise or other logistics/forwarding systems is an advantage.
• Strong customer service and follow-up skills.
• Customer-oriented, proactive and responsible with a positive working attitude.
• Good critical-thinking, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritise work and adapt to changing operational requirements.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to learn, take on new challenges and continuously improve work processes.
