Air Freight Operations Executive | Key Account / Customer Service

Our client is a well-established international logistics and transportation company with a global presence, providing customized freight and logistics solutions to customers worldwide. They are located in the East.

We are looking for candidates with experience in air freight operations, customer service, key account support or cargo planning to join the team.

Job Scope

• Manage and coordinate end-to-end air freight shipments, from shipment planning through to final delivery.
• Coordinate with customers, overseas offices, airlines, terminals, warehouse and transport partners to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Plan and arrange cargo space, monitor flight uplift and shipment status, and follow up on potential delays.
• Support air freight capacity planning and ULD utilization to optimize cargo movement and operational efficiency.
• Liaise with airline carriers to secure cargo space and manage carrier allocations according to shipment requirements.
• Handle customer enquiries, shipment updates and operational issues, including delays, cargo discrepancies, damages and urgent requests.
• Proactively identify and resolve operational issues and service failures, providing alternative routing solutions where required.
• Support ad-hoc freight rate negotiations and monitor operational costs to achieve cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare and maintain operational, customer and KPI reports accurately.
• Manage shipment documentation, permits and billing activities where required.
• Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain service quality and meet customer requirements.
• Support the handling of special cargo, including pharmaceutical cold chain and valuable cargo, where required.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in air freight, freight forwarding, import/export operations, logistics customer service, carrier coordination or capacity planning.
• Experience in air freight operations, customer service, key account support or airline coordination will be an advantage.
• Strong coordination, planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused and proactive mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CW1 or other logistics systems is an advantage.
• Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field; relevant working experience may be considered in lieu.
