THE MANDATE:

As the Air Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring the third party air logistics capacity directly from the airline companies from HK to other countries/ regions. And it is “nice to have” if you can develop, implement, and oversee interline partnerships with other airlines. The role involves managing the end-to-end interline process, fostering strong relationships with partner airlines, and ensuring seamless cooperation for the benefit of both parties to drive maximum commercial value.

Your day will be varied, often crossing functions, but most of your time will focus on delivering results, owning your scope end-to-end, making fast, data-informed decisions, and following through on fundamentals like reporting, documentation, and processes.

Most of your time will be spent driving impact through:

• Relationship Management: Acquire, build, and maintain strong partnerships with airlines, serving as the main point of contact for inquiries and issue resolution.
• Interline Agreement Management: Negotiate and manage agreements with partnership airlines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Operational Oversight: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth interline operations and identify areas for improvement.
• Market Analysis: Explore opportunities to expand and optimize partnerships based on market trends and competition.

REQUIREMENTS

These are minimum-requirement skills and a ‘must-have’ for the role:

• Negotiation & Relationship Management: Strong negotiation, relationship management, and business development skills.
• Air Cargo Experience: Rich and solid experience in air logistics, airline partnerships, and network development, familiar with the airline industry.
• Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• **Cross-Functional Collaboration:**Proficiency in managing cross-functional teams and driving collaboration
• Adaptability: Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Dual-Location Base (Hong Kong & Shenzhen): This role is based across Hong Kong (primary base) and Shenzhen, with regular, planned presence required in both cities as the market calls for it. Cargo sales in this corridor is a relationship business worked at the forwarder's counter, the agency office, and the client's site, not from a single desk and the partners we serve trust the person they see.
