Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on the mall’s HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heating systems, ventilation equipment, and related components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system malfunctions, including problems with thermostats, air handling units, cooling towers, fans, pumps, and ductwork.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, motors, filters, and control systems to ensure efficient operation
• Monitor energy usage and identify opportunities to improve the energy efficiency of HVAC systems, thereby reducing operational costs.
• Assist in implementing energy-saving measures, such as optimizing system settings, upgrading equipment, and utilizing energy-efficient technologies.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels for HVAC-related parts, including filters, belts, refrigerants, and other system components.
• Keep track of tools and equipment needed for HVAC repairs and maintenance, ensuring they are in good working condition and ready for use
• Keep accurate records of HVAC system maintenance, repairs, inspections, and system performance

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Completion of HVAC training program or apprenticeship is preferred.

• Certifications related to HVAC (e.g., EPA certification for handling refrigerants) are preferred

• OSHA certification is an advantage

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and cooling systems.

• Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC system issues quickly and effectively.

• Proficiency in using HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret HVAC blueprints, technical diagrams, and manuals.

• Good communication skills for coordinating with Engineering Supervisor.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently
